Your identity is safe with Royal Vegas Online Casino

Who among you online aficionados hasn’t encountered a site where some sort of registration process is required? You know, going to Amazon or any other online shopping site, for example. You need to register before you can buy anything, because they need to keep track of you and your details to send your order to the right place.

Okay, so that’s online shopping. Easy enough; they need your personal and credit card details for all your online transactions with them, and truth be told, very few people who shop online have an issue with registering an account and handing out their personal details to seal the deal. Other instances of online transacting include banking – of course – and gambling. Yes, the supposedly taboo topic of chance and its funding has been known to send many a rational web surfer spinning into a tizzy. The question is why...

Gambling has always carried some form of social stigma, ever since it first became apparent that betting on odds could prove to be quite lucrative, if you knew your stuff and you had luck on your side. Online gambling is fast becoming more popular as a pastime, but along with its increasing success, it has also begun showing signs of advanced paranoia. Now add the fact that most financial institutions refuse outright to fund online gambling of any kind, and you have an exceptional state of extreme aversion towards venturing any money to an online casino. As we’ve seen, the United States has already all but outlawed the process of transferring money from a banking account to an online casino account, a standard that sent ripples throughout the industry. All the little stigmas and badmouthing began showing; casinos steal your money. They double-cross you.

Why do you say that?

Sure, there have been online casinos that were created purely to act as a vehicle for some giant scam, but this is not the case most of the time. Case in point: Royal Vegas Online Casino. This sumptuous online feast of regal casino delights has been operating for a decade, and it has done so by sticking to some pretty strict third-party rules and regulations, most notably the ones from eCOGRA (e-Commerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance). These rules are there to keep every player safe, and this extends to your personal and financial details as well. No true-to-form online casino would stoop so low as to swindle, because just one bad rap in the news and a decade’s worth of experience and, actually, transparent and responsible player dealings, gets sunk into the sea of online damnation. Let me put it this way; as much as you might be afraid of placing your personal identification into the electronic ether, so too does any respectable online casino provider fear screwing up with people’s information. An online casino can about as much afford to fiddle with, unlawfully distribute and steal your personal information as you, the intrepid online enthusiast, can afford to buy the continent of North America. There’s simply too much to risk.

In retrospect, the fear of the online casino – and conversely, placing your figurative self online – rests on a lot of obsolete social stigmas, highlighting only the bad and ignoring the good. Sure, you might not like gambling of any kind, but no one’s forcing you to gamble online, or forcing you to give your personal and financial details. If you are an online gambler, rest assured that online casinos like Royal Vegas, as well as its external and impartial monitoring bodies, take every measure to keep you safe when you put yourself out there.

Some things you always wanted to know about an online casino call centre (but were afraid to ask)

by John H 21. May 2010 10:51

Why I love working at Royal Vegas Online Casino

Here’s an inside look at what it’s like to work in the Royal Vegas Call Centre and why our staff enjoy it so much.

Gregg has been working in the Royal Vegas Call Centre for 2 years now and still enjoys interacting and having a good laugh with players.

What is your favourite part of the job?
“My favourite part of the job is dealing with the amazing VIP Players that we have and the amazing environment within the support centre.”

What inspires you about your job?

“The thing that inspires me the most is the players that we deal with on a daily basis. They are all interesting and always have an interesting story to tell. With the people we deal with they are not just players, they are like family. We learn about their partners, children and even as far as their children’s dates of birth. This is what is so special about what we do.”

What has been the most memorable moment in the Call Centre so far?
“There isn’t one moment that I can pin point, however there is one player. His name is Mark S. He is the funniest person you will ever come across. His nickname for us at VIP is Froggy. When he calls in and asks for a VIP Host he asks for Froggy which totally stumps the agents. The relationship that he has built up with us over the years at the casino has been a truly memorable and treasured one.”
